Safety & DOT Compliance
May 21: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Focuses on driver qualifications, safety and fitness ratings, roadside inspections, CDL requirements and driver physicals. You’ll Learn to:
• Write job descriptions to meet federal requirements
• Identify preventable and non-preventable accidents
• Develop safety policies and procedures
• Identify the key requirements in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Survive a DOT safety audit

Hours of Service and Driver Logs
May 22: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Focuses on hours of service, driver logs and driver fatigue. You’ll learn to:
• Identify falsified logs
• Recognize exemptions
• Understand requirements for supporting documents
• Complete practice exercises

Controlled Substances and Alcohol
Mandatory Training

May 22: 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.
Focuses on DOT’s mandatory supervisor training requirements for alcohol and controlled substances, covering critical parts of the DOT regulations on alcohol and drug testing (Part 382 and 40). You’ll learn to:
• Conduct random, pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty and follow-up tests
• Identify the signs of employee alcohol misuse and controlled substances use
